Commissioned by the AIRC (Foundation for Cancer Research) the 2024 official calendar was intended to metaphorically represent the collective effort in cancer research, particularly emphasizing the role of donations in advancing cancer research. The calendar was given to all donors who contribute to cancer research, to thank them for supporting the cause.

Emanuela is an Italian illustrator based in Milan. She started as an art director for several advertising companies before meeting her career as a illustrator in 2020. Since then she has worked with international publishers and brands such as Penguin Randon House, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Les Echos, Freundin Magazine, Het Financieele Dagblad, Samsung, Mondadori, Feltrinelli, Sz Magazine.
